VEKA SUPPORTS FIT SHOW’S DECISION TO POSTPONE TILL MAY 22

FIT Show has announced that their 2021 exhibition will be postponed in response to the ongoing uncertainty surrounding Covid-19.  

 VEKA plc is both a VIP sponsor and key exhibitor at FIT Show, The UK’s largest Fenestration Trade event, due to take place on 26-28 September 2021.  The organisers announced that they believe it’s in everyone’s best interests that they postpone until 10-12 May 2022, a decision VEKA very much supports. 

 Nickie West, Event Director, FIT Show said,  

“We have been monitoring the ever-changing situation in relation to Covid-19 and after careful assessment, we believe that it is best for our exhibitors and visitors if we postpone FIT Show until May 2022.” 

 FIT Show organisers have worked closely with the NEC to secure a new timeline that they believe is both safer and provides greater certainty for the entire market. By postponing until Spring 2022, they believe that most of the UK will have been vaccinated, supply chain issues will have started to ease, and we will be able to return to large scale events with a greater degree of safety. 

  Dawn Stockell, Marketing Director, VEKA plc said: 

 “Back in late 2020 when we committed to sponsoring FIT Show VIP and agreed to take an exhibitor stand to host both current and potential customers, we were hopeful that COVID-19 would have been much more of a distant memory.  Alas, this is not the case.  

 “The sharp rise in positive COVID-19 cases coupled with the ongoing ambiguity surrounding what restrictions would need to be in place at FIT Show to go ahead in September, have resulted in FIT Show postponing and something that we wholly support at VEKA having put significant measures in place to protect our teams internally. For us this is a sensible decision and is not a goodbye, but a see you soon!
