VEKA plc opened in the UK in 1986 and we still have employees with us today who started on day one with many other employees having reached milestone service dates with us. Part of our human resource strategy is our on-going investment in our employees.

During our most recent re-assessment in July 2014, it was noted that The VEKA UK Group has excellent business performance being achieved in a challenging environment, which is to be applauded. The review has illustrated a strong commitment to people and the part they play in enabling The VEKA UK Group to succeed.

The VEKA UK Group is based on family traditions, with all VEKA Group subsidiaries being the daughter companies of VEKA AG in Germany. The same family is at the helm of the VEKA Group as it has been since day one in 1969.

Employees of the Year

Every year VEKA rewards its Employees of the Year, recognising them for their outstanding contribution to the company throughout the year.


In 2015 we celebrated at Turf Moor in Burnley. Most Recently our VEKA Stars were honoured at The Fence Gate in Fence.


Celebrating long service

VEKA is very proud to have a great number of loyal long serving employees at both our Burnley and Curdworth sites. Employees reaching 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 & 30 years service are rewarded each year at a long service lunch.
