VEKA plc opened in the UK in 1986 and we still have employees with us today who started on day one with many other employees having reached milestone service dates with us. Part of our human resource strategy is our on-going investment in our employees. So much so that we have reached our own milestone, being recognised continually as an Investor in People since 1994.

During our most recent re-assessment in July 2014, it was noted that The VEKA UK Group has excellent business performance being achieved in a challenging environment, which is to be applauded. The review has illustrated a strong commitment to people and the part they play in enabling The VEKA UK Group to succeed.

Employment Overview

We employ approximately 400 people, we want not only them to feel part of The VEKA UK Group family but also their families in turn. 

The VEKA UK Group is based on family traditions, with all VEKA Group subsidiaries being the daughter companies of VEKA AG in Germany. The same family is at the helm of the VEKA Group as it has been since day one in 1964.

Every year VEKA rewards its Employees of the Year, recognising them for their outstanding contribution to the company throughout the year.

Employee Social Events

Our most recent employee social night was at Haydock Park where we watched the Horse Racing and saw Madness perform.
